What’s Training Like?

We provide practical, hands-on experiences that translate directly into the classroom. The MCCE supports teachers, faculty, counselors, administrators, and local school systems to prepare Maryland's classrooms to teach high-quality computer science. We encourage teachers to continue to grow in this rapidly changing field and to continue to learn new methods, applications, and integration of computing concepts.

Our facilitators are your peers – from Maryland schools. They know that you are excellent at what you do, and respect your practice and professionalism. We work in collaboration with Maryland Codes and other professional PD providers.

The broad range of workshops offered is designed to provide essential concepts and practices for effective computer science teaching for teachers transitioning from other subject areas as well as those currently teaching computer science.  encourages collaboration and creativity.
