Description of the strategy to infuse CS/CT into education programs: CT is incorporated into all the educational technology courses. Students are also required to take a general eduation technology course which has been contextualized for education majors and incorporates CT.

I have been working with faculty in our education department on ways to introduce computational thinking to our education students through a grant funded by the Maryland Center for Computing Education.

Who is part of the collaboration? PK-12 classroom teachers, community college, between departments in our institution

Description of the strategy to infuse CS/CT into education programs: We have contextualized our Computer science 101 course for teacher educations students.

Contact: Wendy Chin. Wendy Chin is an Associate Professor and Computer Science/Information Technology Department Chair in the School of Business, Technology and Law at the Community College of Baltimore County. She has been an educator for the last 25 years with specializations in Microsoft applications, Cisco networking and cyber security. She holds a BS degree in Computer Science and a MS in Cyber Security. She also holds various networking certifications. Wendy is active in the community as a member of the Cyber Association of Maryland (CAMI) serving on the diversity committee.
